Founder & CEO

Jonny Kazan - or "Big Jon," as he is affectionately known within the email industry, is the brains, brawn and energy behind Cartoon Emailer. Before Al Gore invented the Internet, Big Jon was steadily at work in a dimly lit basement office creating email. Today, Big Jon proudly serves not only as CEO of Cartoon Emailer, but as the undisputed leader of CORE (Coalition of Responsible Emailers), a world-wide alliance of hundreds of the top email companies. Big Jon has all the right credentials. After graduating from one of the top European boarding schools (he lead both his squash and polo teams to international gold medals), he attended a discrete east-coast Ivy League college where he obtained the rare "triple-dipple" (three degrees: BA, MBA, MD) in four years and, of course, graduated summa cum laude. Big Jon can do it all - and do it great. After some deep soul searching, where he traveled for a year and soloed the world's 10 highest mountain peaks (and wrote an epic poem worthy of a Pulitzer Prize), Big Jon had the epiphany that his life's calling was email. He has been at it ever since. Although he is modest and would never boast, Big Jon believes that Cartoon Emailer's technology and team are unsurpassed. And, not surprisingly, CartoonEmailer feels the same way about him.

It is perhaps too lofty for an email company to suggest that its president, in serving clients and guiding our corporate culture, operates at the highest level of enlightenment. So, suffice it to say, our president mindfully instills the following characteristics into our humble company: morality, wisdom and insight. With our president carefully guiding us, we (i) deal honestly with our clients, (ii) offer outstanding, reliable and secure software at a fair price and (iii) have, and continually improve, our industry-leading base of knowledge so that we may provide our clients with an unmatched level of service. Finally, we not only anticipate trends within the industry, we actually create them. Our president gives everything he has to make sure the client experience is as favorable as possible. He leads our team, maintains a great corporate culture, and  is also a pretty good squash player.

Betsy Caven-Fugen, JD, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer for CartoonEmailer, Betsy oversees all financial functions of the company and its long list of affiliated enterprises which deliver targeted, relevant, and informative content (as well as entertaining cartoons!) to subscribers around the world.  Before joining CartoonEmailer, Betsy served as the chief adjunct executive director for the Treasury Department of China, where she opened up trade channels and put a critically acclaimed long-term solution in place to help human rights efforts in Asia, while at the same time ensuring the United States will continue to benefit from China's ever-increasing world-wide domination of manufacturing.  Betsy received her BBA, MBA and Masters in Tax from the University of Texas' Professional Program of Accounting (PPA) - the top financial program in the country, passed the CPA exam on her first attempt, and obtained her JD, LLM, and LLB from NYU soon after.  Her pro-bono' Cartoon Emailer financial advisory board includes several Wall Street investment bank chairmen as well as the Dalia Lama.

Dr.
Chief Technology Officer

Dr. . (for security reasons, his real name is not disclosed) is responsible for our technology. He is a life-long friend of "Big Jon" and recently served as a Cabinet official for a US President. He travels frequently, and although perhaps not as politically correct as some would prefer, he hires the best and the brightest for his team - regardless of their nationality. Prior to joining CartoonEmailer, he is credited with decommissioning several hundred thousand land-mines in Southeast Asia using a light-weight, water-based, environmentally-friendly, patentable mechanism. (NOTE: although Dr. was entitled to world-wide patents for his invention, he chose instead to make the technology available free of charge to developing countries and, further, with Big Jon's assistance, helped fund the production of units for use by several relief organizations). Dr. is also the primary architect and coder of WWW3 (the next version of the internet). Although confidentiality agreements prevent our disclosing the names of the company boards he sits on, it is fair to say that, through Dr. efforts, your coffee tastes better, your music sounds better and your heating bills are lower.

Pierre le' Pierre

Chief Creative Director

Pierre is a virtual Renaissance Man.  As a teenager growing up in Paris, along the East Bank of the Seine, he was the first to "sidewalk sculpt" life-size statues of passerbys, using recycled clay.  While attending college at the Scandinavian Institute for Higher Arts, he transcended mediums and moved from clay to ice - becoming known as the "Rodin of Ice" - and creating some of the most spectacular ice sculptures northern Europe has ever seen.  After two trips around the world, showcasing some of his more traditional "oil on natural hemp" pieces at twenty-six United States' Embassies from Angola to Zimbabwe (and including Singapore), Pierre retired, at the ripe-ole age of 28, to the Loire Valley in Southern France to spend his remaining days painting various depictions of "the perfect apple tree".  If it hadn't been for Big Jon's bike trip through France, as an advisor to the Tour de France on how to make the race more challenging, Pierre might still be painting depictions of his tree - without sharing his other extraordinary talents with human-kind.  Currently, in addition to creating the creative content for Cartoon Emailer, Pierre serves as (i) the lead guitarist in an eclectic rock n' roll band often featured in Rolling Rock Magazine (yes, he builds he own acoustic guitars), (ii) curator of the US Museum of Extraordinary Fine Art, and (iii) Advisor to the US Botanical Society for the Betterment of Organic Fruit Trees.  He commutes back to the Loire Valley (never failing to improve upon his near-perfect painting of the apple tree) whenever possible on the Cartoon Emailer bio-fueled Concord.
